  • Overall an OK experience. Entered just needing a job, but got a lot more than just a cleaning job. Customer service skills, leadership skills, and team player skills were all a challenge, but it is easily learned and improved over time.

    I worked at Maid Brigade

    Pros

Lots of team work. Pretty good work environment most of the time, at least when owner and supervisors are present. Promoted within! Interaction with customers. Pretty good tips from customers during holidays. Flexible work schedule when needed.

    Cons

At times, too much work with little pay. Lots of physical work: the cleanings can get very intensive especially around holidays. Also, owner does not know how to handle tensions between employees, so they are left to handle it themselves, sometimes left unresolved.

    Advice to Management

Show employees that you are boss. Employees are not supposed to tell you how to run or spend money for your company. They can suggest, but the decision is ultimately yours. Also, take better care of your customers! To make sure your business keeps running, you MUST try to meet their needs and follow up with them as much as possible. Can't do it yourself? Hire someone who can.
