I worked at Make-A-Wish Foundation full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There are a lot of feel good moments knowing you are granting the wish of a very sick child. And the employees generally have hearts of gold. This is one of the best nonprofits in terms of national management in the country.

    Cons

Not much room to be creative, and consequently not much room for individual growth. Make-A-Wish is very good at what they do and has been for years. This particular office was not interested in hearing new ideas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take note of the high turnover rate among young employees and offer more incentives (i.e. - career training/advice/opportunities) to keep them.

    Interview Details

Got a phone call the day after I applied and we set up a Skype interview. Interview went really smoothly. Didn't ask really any behavioral questions, it was more conversation based and they were very detailed on the job description. They sounded really positive and reacted well to all of my answers.
