I have been working at Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

My supervisors are really smart. Working with them is enjoyable as you can learn about good thinking styles from them. Also, it is definitely an ideal place to learn about Maryland Medicaid. This could lay a good foundation for healthcare knowledge.

    Cons

I enjoyed most part of the work. Sometimes, I may feel a bit bored as the workload is not that much. Also, sometimes, the job duty can be unclear, which requires me to gather more information from other colleagues or to think out a good strategy to address the problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In my eyes, the management is great. I did not feel any bureaucratic atmosphere. Also, everyone is working on what he/she is interested in.
