From feeling insecure to feeling sad to leave

Former Employee - Intern in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
Former Employee - Intern in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)

I worked at Maybank as an intern (less than an year)

I was just an intern so I don't know if my opinion is valid, but my team members were really kind to me. I was quite insecure when I first entered a new environment, but I could completely get used to working life within a week. I guess that applies to other departments as well in terms of office culture. I believe that most Maybankers are friendly and willing to help.

I guess it's a common thought that a banker must be ready to work over-time. Workload is sometimes inconsistent, as there might be seasonal effects, like more projects going on during certain periods.

Behavioral questions mainly but they might have changed it. Not too difficult. Know the job description and you will be fine. Make sure it is the position you want, why you want and so forth. Need to know finance though so practice finance problems before the interview. Keep the conversation professional and answer the questions as it is asked not as how you want to answer it.
