I worked at McGrath RentCorp full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I don't think its possible to get 25 days paid time off in many places. That was great and the firm was great about encouraging staff to take it. Global firm with great training programs and client opportunities.

    Cons

Management did not do the best job of rotating staff off of projects that did not provide much opportunities for professional development. The same story with most consulting/client service firms. The staff are simply a piece of inventory used to make revenue. It was my feeling that you wanted from your career was of little concern to management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Attempt to work with your employees and rotate them off jobs that are simply revenue generating yet provide little to no professional development.

    Sales Manager (Any Position) Interview

    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at McGrath RentCorp.

    Interview Details

Be prepared for a 6-7 step interview process with multiple people asking you the same questions. Please note that the COO is the decision maker for sales management applicants. That is strange to me since the COO has no sales experience what so ever. You can get buy in from all of the other managers, but again, the COO makes the call. Salary and total comp. is low compared to other similar companies.
