    I worked at McMenamins part-time

Initially, I loved it. My schedule was set, the team was wonderful. The team environment was great, especially on busy nights when you had wonderful coworkers on the floor with you.

Upper management really doesn't seem to care about the team and one of my managers didn't really care about life outside of work, which meant that we, as employees, shouldn't care about life outside of work. We had some management changes and my schedule went from predictable, challenging, to boring, variable and difficult to change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your team members- try to understand them and don't, don't, DON'T try to force them to work when they have family emergencies...

Best way is to fill out the application on the site. You'll get a call from HR, with a pretty lengthy interview, and if it goes well you'll get another interview with the manager of the pub you'll work at.
