I have been working at McMenamins full-time (More than a year)
McMenamins offers so many different job titles in so many departments. From hourly jobs in the kitchen, restaurant, hotel, and catering to 9-5 office jobs as well there is definitely a fit for everyone it seems. The company's culture is my favorite part about working here, and the reason why I feel like I interact so well with most people throughout the company. There are so many perks to working here as well and it seems like there is always an event going on. It's still a pretty small-ish company so after working here for awhile you start to know and recognize/chat with a lot of people from different locations.
If you're not a hard worker this isn't the place for you. I've come to see the motto is generally working is your first priority and having fun is the second priority.
Advice to Management
I might have gotten really lucky with my higher-ups not sure. Haven't worked at any other property but it seems like most managers I know from different properties are all good at managing. (Bonus: schedules for my department usually come out about 3-4 weeks prior and 9/10 times get the same days off each week so it's easy to plan.)

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at McMenamins (Bothell, WA) in August 2015.
I applied online and was contacted by their HR department to schedule a phone interview. After conducting the phone interview, we scheduled an in-person interview for the following day. The in-person interview was part of a day of open interviews. There were many tables around me all full of potential candidates and at least 6 other interviews happening during mine as well.
