I worked at Medical Simulation full-time for more than 5 years

Mid and low level people are mostly great. They freely collaborate and help each other. Since it's a small company there's lots of friendships and community. Company culture is great on the exterior.

Some employees at all levels do very little yet continue to work there year after year. In the last year 75% of upper and mid-level management has left because they all lost faith in the company. Many of the people with medical backgrounds end up leaving to work for medical device manufacturers in sales/support jobs where they get paid 50-200% more; bleeding talent. The company's mission is divided and not executed well at the upper-levels. Upper level management and sales is all talk no work year after year. Promises of going public year after year will never be delivered on.
