Medline Industries – Why Work For Us?

Company Overview:

Medline was founded in 1966, but its roots date back 100 years when A.L. Mills started Northwestern Garment Factory. Since then, the company has grown into America's largest privately held national manufacturer and distributor of health care supplies and services. Medline is the largest privately held medical supplier in the United States. We manufacture and distribute over 350,000 medical and surgical products to healthcare institutions and retail markets.

Medline employees choose between multiple Medical options to find the plan that best meets their needs. Employees covered elsewhere may also choose to opt out of the plan all together and receive a share of the savings. Employee's choices include four national PPO/POS type plans through United Healthcare. We also have a Capital BlueCross HMO plan available to employees in Pennsylvania.

Dental Plan

The MetLife Dental plan is offered separately from the Medical coverage, so you may elect one without having to elect the other. The Dental plan provides coverage for preventive, basic and major services.

Vision Care Benefits

Includes a comprehensive plan through VSP (Vision Service Plan), which provides Medline employees nationwide with coverage for exams and glasses/contacts. Discounts are also available for other services, like laser correction surgery.

    Interview Details

I first talked to a recruiter at a university career fair and was invited to participate in an interview that took place about 2 weeks later. Right after the career fair, I emailed the recruiter with my cover letter and resume and thanked her for taking her time to talk to me that day. A couple days later she responded by giving me information regarding an info session and by inviting me to return for an interview.
