I worked at Menards full-time (more than an year)

Easy to get comfortable, awkward hours, very routine, decent pay, flexible scheduling, opportunity to move up

long hours, boredom and tiredness sets in quickly, some of the management is power-hungry and/or incompetent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

spend more time looking for leaders instead of promoting those who can repeat mundane tasks every day. Management takes more than the ability to Voice-pick more quickly than anyone or ship over 20 specials an hour. Take the time to discover the few leaders that have taken this job for the pay and reward them by letting them prove themselves in an environment that they belong in.

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Menards.

    Interview Details

I applied online on a Friday and got a call to schedule an interview on that following Monday. I interviewed that Wednesday and got sent for a drug test. I got a call back that next Monday to schedule a day where I could start work. The interview went great and the two ladies that interviewed me were very nice and didn't make me feel intimidated. I only had the one interview.
