I worked at Menards part-time for more than a year

Fun place to work at if you have good co-workers and managers. Profit sharing at the end of the year is nice. There is always something new to set up for or to design for a Guest every day, which makes every day go by faster. Can move up to assistant manager positions very quickly.

Can have ever changing hours and customers sometimes expect things that we can't offer. Being a retail company everyone must work Black Friday. It is about the bottom line and not actually helping the customer reach their desired goals.

Hiring process was somewhat unorganized you almost needed to know someone to get a job that wasn't just the morning stocking crew. Plan to interview in the middle of the a busy store ... process is open so its a little unnerving to have associates eating lunch at the next table while you try to answer questions.
