    I have been working at Microdesk full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    The culture here is very relaxed. There aren't a lot of job titles to work around and you can approach anybody. The people here are very smart, but also very personable, which makes for a very nice combination. We get exposure to some great companies and the opportunities to learn are huge. Microdesk does a lot of training in BIM software so if you want to learn there is always an expert close by. The company is also growing very rapidly which makes for some exciting opportunities.

    Cons

    Sometimes the relaxed culture can be challenging, particularly for a new employee, and especially if you aren't comfortable reaching out and talking to people that you don't know. You have to be a motivated person and take charge at times. Company has some growing pains and workload is sometimes unbalanced.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Sometimes structure is a good thing that provides people with direction and a sense of security. The company is growing into a large company and the company structure should mature with it.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Microdesk in January 2014.

    Interview Details

    I was first contacted by hiring staff, who then set up a phone interview with manager. The face to face interview went very smooth and to the point. Skills were tested with credible and relevant software. Very professional questions and attitude. Made me feel comfortable and relaxed about the whole process.
