I have been working at Middleby full-time (More than 5 years)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Great autonomous and entrepreneurial culture. I left a Fortune 100 company that made it several years in a row on the "most admired companies to work for". They had tremendous perks but awful politics. At Middleby, you are not bogged down in boring meetings or spending hours in silly paperwork. you just do your job and you are rewarded on your performance. I love the fact that I interface with very bright and passionate people in engineering and in sales. I am not just a number at the company. Even our CEO, Selim Bassoul, who leads by example is accessible to all of us. As a middle manager at one of the smaller divisions, I am allowed to disrupt the way we do business and to change the rules to make things better. We are allowed to do anything to take care of the customer. It makes my job easier. I like to treat people the way I want to be treated. Middleby allows me to make things right. In addition, we get paid a profit sharing for all the employees if we hit our targets. Pretty simple.
Middleby is a very lean organization. If you like a structured environment and a big HR department, Middleby is not the company for you.
