    Pros

MCG is a rapidly growing management and technology consulting company. There are many ways for entrepreneurial consultants to carve out a personal niche and contribute to the growth of the company. Company leadership shares clear values of servant leadership, accountability, and loyalty. From top to bottom the focus of the company is on providing value to our consulting clients.

    Cons

MCG is a rapidly growing consulting company and is therefore in a constant state of change. There are many things that the company can do better, however, everyone understands this. Leadership is extremely willing to accept feedback and do things differently. Size is also a challenge in terms of scale. The company can't provide all services today. Again, however, if an idea makes sense the company is willing to make intelligent choices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to embrace and accept change, even at the highest company levels. There is tremendous market opportunity for this company. We just need to continue to adapt to change as needed.

    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Midtown Consulting Group in May 2014.

    Interview Details

It was very casual, especially for a management consulting position. I met with 3 different people who were all very pleasant and smart. All of them seemed very positive about my experience and future with the company. I felt great about the interview and even received futuristic type comments when speaking with the CEO as if he already decided I was part of the team and was thinking of potential projects for me to join. I left the last interview feeling confident and hopeful.

However, after thanking them and following up with them 2-3 times over email (CCing all 3 leaders and their admin), I never received a response at all. I was completely ignored and I never heard a decision from them either way. I find this quite unprofessional, confusing, and even rude.

    Interview Questions
    • Most questions were quite informal about my general work experience and education. I got a few questions asking about my strengths, weaknesses, and technical skills.   Answer Question
