I worked at Moka5 as an intern (less than a year)

I came in as a freshmen in college and didn't know much about the work and definitely learned a lot and got up to speed quickly enough to make an impact with my project. People are very willing to help you learn. The CTO is a very fun person and held a lot of intern events. Rock band breaks during work! Very flexible hours.

My project was not very relevant to what the company was working on. My supervisors were frequently unavailable when I was stuck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more intern supervision and put interns in a group with full-time engineers so that interns can work on relevant projects and have a team to get help from.

    Interview Details

Friend of a friend of a friend recommended that I interview here. I went to a small "job fair"-like event and sat in front of a panel of interviewers and answered some basic questions about myself and my experience. Later, I got an email saying that I should come in to a second interview in person. I got there expecting an hour-long affair, but ended up interviewing with 6 people, one-on-one each. It took about 3-4 hours. I wasn't given an offer on the spot, but it was strongly implied. The entire process took a few days before I got a confirmation of the offer from a manager and an HR packet from their HR rep. All communication was by email and in person; no phone interview.

    Interview Questions
    • Explain your testing methodology. How would you deal with unexpected results?   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
I was satisfied with the pay and did not feel like negotiating. I believe there is some wiggle room for strong candidates, but the interview process is laid out in such a way as to not be entirely sure of your fate until after the fact. Therefore, if you're going to argue about salary, it may negatively affect your chances of getting the position.

Moka5 (M5) is fundamentally transforming enterprise end-user computing. Based on research conducted by Stanford University, M5 creates a highly-elastic enterprise perimeter where user data and applications are delivered as simply-managed and highly-secure workspaces to popular end-user devices. M5 enables both online and offline access and requires significantly less management overhead than legacy VDI or mobility solutions, while being significantly more secure than cloud-based file sharing, with a common platform that scales from the desktop to tablets and smartphones...
