    Pros

    Beautiful place, very inspiring. Fun good natured associates.

    Cons

    Very low compensation. Worked a salared position, requiring 50 + hours a week to get work load accomplished.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Some serious cut-backs happened to strengthen the company at great cost to selling team and staff. At least show some emotion, concern or appretiation for those who gave so much.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Molbak's in November 2011.

    Interview Details

    Four rounds of interviews including Jens Molbak. A skills test was issued. Met with team leaders who asked their own questions; one obviously pulled them right off the internet. Discovered later that some managers only have a high school education. No salary negotiation offered--consequently, for many months jobs have remained open and they are unable to fill them.

    Negotiation Details
    They were completely unwilling to negotiate. When i said the salary was below the average for the area and asked for low $40s, the response was "I don't think so!" and laughed. Molbak's is in a race to the bottom for salaries although they did raise hourly rates to $11 an hour to keep up with the competition. Anyone already at that level did not get a raise. Raises are generally not given to keep up with inflation. Performance reviews are often just at average with lots of room for improvement so they don't have to give them. There is always the possibility of a bonus check if the Sales Plan is made but this may or may not occur.
