The Culture of Good

We take social responsibility very seriously here at TCC, so much so that we have an entire movement dedicated to our Culture of Good. We believe in giving back to the people in our communities which is why we reward our employees for their philanthropic work and provide all of our locations and corporate departments with individual funding so they can give back to their own communities, wherever they are. You can learn more about our Culture of Good by visiting our Culture of Good website.
In 2014, we gave away over 100,000 backpacks nationwide in our Second Annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway. Employees all across the country passed out backpacks to the kids in their neighborhoods that were stuffed full of school supplies. In addition to the non-stop local charity work that is done in our stores throughout the year, we are also raising money for teachers nationwide through our “Donate a Dollar” program where you can donate in your transaction to benefit local teachers in your community who generously give so much of their money annually to the kids they are teaching through classroom supplies, goodies, and even directly to the students in
many cases.

Moorehead Family Foundation

The Moorehead Family Foundation is another philanthropic initiative that we are proud to offer. Headed by the Moorehead Family, monthly meetings are held with a small committee of employees who award grants to organizations and families in need. The Moorehead Family Foundation was created to serve, support and provide needed financial assistance to organizations and people of all ages within Indiana, especially to those with tiny hands and furry paws. Grants are given to support programs, organizations, and individual foundations dedicated to improving the communities in which we operate and live.
We at Moorehead Communications know that the reason we are so successful is because we have the finest team of employees in the industry! The Cellular Connection owes its success to all of our employees providing the necessary skills and knowledge combined with a comprehensive, continually-updated training program, resulting in knowledgeable professionals who understand the meaning to the best customer service experience.

The Early Years

The Cellular Connection (TCC), was founded by Steve and Phyllis Moorehead, with one store in Marion, Indiana. Today, the company is the largest Verizon Premium Wireless Retailer in the U.S. with more than 800 locations. Over the years, TCC has acquired more than five cellular retailers and started a dealer division. In addition, the company formed a partnership with hhgregg in 2010 to open kiosks in each of the appliances and electronics retailer's stores.
Family has always been TCC's foundation. As the company continues to grow, Scott will nurture the feeling of a family business as his core philosophy. He attributes TCC's success to the employees.
In 2008, Scott Moorehead, son of Steve and Phyllis, took over as CEO of TCC. Scott worked his way up the corporate ladder by working every position within the company, including selling in the stores, driving the delivery truck, installing satellites, working in the call center and handling accounts receivable. This afforded Scott the opportunity to learn every aspect of each department and where efficiencies could be implemented.
Since taking over as CEO in 2008, Scott has led the company to 202-percent growth. In August 2013, TCC was named to the Inc. 500|5000 list for the fourth consecutive year in its annual ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 7+ monthsinterviewed at Moorehead Communications.

During the jnterview via web camera one was walking around the room. The female was playing with her hair. One male was texting and the other person asking the questions was rocking his head back and fourth. No one in the room was paying attention. This was an internal interview. The platform they used was very poor.
