Fast paced environment, with a lot of hands on experience gained. You learn the contracting business from the ground up. You work on billon AED projects such as hotels and major construction buildings. It is a great place to work on different aspects within contract management.

For me as an intern it wasn’t the best-structured environment to start of in. I jumped all over the place with different day to day tasks which didn’t always give me enough time to fully understand the problem I was working on. It was more about getting something done then doing it fully right. In general a very male oriented work environment which might not always be suited for women.

    Advice to Management

Have a more structured plan of how to take on interns so that it benefits the company and the interns involved during this experience. Sometimes I was more in the way then anything else.

I applied online. The process took 6+ monthsinterviewed at Multiplex Group in March 2014.

I applied for the UK scheme (was living in Australia at the time). Long and slow to return calls. No replies to any emails. I went through a very long phone interview which went really positively, but then heard nothing for ages about the next stage at an assessment centre. Finally called me after 2-3 months to organise for me to come to assessment centre the following week - in Scotland. How can they expect me to get from Australia to Scotland with a week of notice? The woman simply said, "We don't think a Skype interview would be 'fair'". Total joke. I followed up because I moved to the UK and got no response about being considered in the next round. Really unsympathetic people.
