I have been working at Murphy Oil as a contractor (more than 3 years)

Has a small company feel with good assets and growth mentality. Generally allows personnel to perform their responsibilities without micromanaging. Genuinely care about people in the organization and communities and has high moral and ethical principles. Good pay and benefits. Treats contractors as equals to employees.

Given their low cost operations mentality personnel can be stretched to their absolute maximums. Some objectives are not fully supported by adequate resources.

Talked to one of their company representatives at the Career Fair at my school. Received an interview soon after the Career Fair. Pretty informal process compared to others - I liked the relaxed yet professional way it was handled. The interview was pretty relaxed and mostly they just asked questions about my resume and involvement. HR for this company is overall very helpful and comprised of good people.
