    Pros

Enjoyed working with the people in my department and in some of the other departments.

    Cons

They do not appreciate employees that actually work for them, however if you volunteer you get recognition all the time and free stuff. It is ran as a business and not a cultural institution. Laying off people and or firing people makes for uneasy work environment as they are replacing many positions with volunteers or not at all. Senior leadership does not really care about suggestions that are made. People constantly wanting data and numbers right that moment even if your busy dealing with a bigger emergency and had known they needed it for days before but there procrastination becomes your emergency.

    Advice to Management

Try Harder, Do Better - you will never be a world class company with the way you run the operations.

    Application

I applied online – interviewed at Musical Instrument Museum.

    Interview

The process took forever. The company has an initial application, then takes a month to get back to you. The next step is the actual interview. If you succeed in the interview, you've got the job; however, they also take a few weeks to get back to you about that. MIM then makes you take a personality assessment, a math and reading exam, finally you're drug-tested. It's an extremely long process for just an internship position.

    Interview Questions

    • They ask specific questions about MIM's website/social media.   Answer Question
