In the 1920's, America fell in love with the automobile. More and more vehicles began traveling the roads, creating a need for an auto parts distribution system that could keep pace with the demand to keep our automobiles running. In 1925, NAPA was founded to meet those needs. Since then, we've sped our way to become a powerhouse in the auto parts industry. Fueled by the popularity of the automobile, our name can now be seen on over 5,800 stores, 58 distribution centers, and 13,000 NAPA AutoCare facilities across the country, and we're not stopping there.

NAPA Headquarters is the central hub of all of our company's activity. This group consists of 58 NAPA distribution centers serving approximately 5800 NAPA Auto Parts Stores of which 1,000 are company owned.

The NAPA Spirit is felt nationwide, and it continues to spread. We currently have nearly six thousand stores and more than thirteen thousand NAPA AutoCare facilities, and those numbers are steadily rising.

NAPA Auto Parts Retail Stores

Everything we pride ourselves on as a company is fully represented in our stores, by each of our employees. Every aspect of our industry plays a major role each business day: Purchasing, distribution, marketing, merchandising, and customer service.

NAPA Auto Parts Stores are strategically important to us as we continue to evolve as a business. In the past, we mostly focused on the wholesale aspect of the parts business, but through improved locations and up-to-date presentation techniques, we are now trying to capture a larger share of the retail market.

Several job opportunities exist within our stores. Drivers deliver parts from the store to the end-use customer. Counter Persons assist customers on the phone and in-store, to ensure they leave with the right part from our 320,000-item inventory. Outside Salespeople represent one or more stores and call on customers within a three-mile radius of the store. Assistant Managers help the Store Manager ensure that the store exceeds customer expectations in every situation. Besides having opportunities for promotion to larger-volume stores, management employees can look forward to potential growth at the Regional or Divisional levels.

    Pros

    Great people, good benefits, good pay, great team to work with. Lots of opportunity for advancement. Reward hard work and show appreciation.

    Cons

    Very little cons, not every manager on the team is as good as we would all like them but that is EVERY company not just NAPA

    Advice to Management

    Keep an eye on your store managers, and if they need coaching, then DO it don't just let it sit and do nothing.

    I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at NAPA Auto Parts (Williamsville, NY).

    Interview

    Interview process was extremely lengthy and choppy. I was first given a brief phone interview, then I was asked to come in for a one-on-one interview. After completing the one-on-one interview, I was asked to come back to take a tour of the warehouse and meet the management team. After meeting the entire Management team and multiple interviews, I was given an online assessment to complete at home and never received a call back. I would suggest they save the applicant and management some time and have them complete the online assessment first and give their candidates feedback or at the very least let them know they were not selected.
