I have been working at NX DirectRecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
Coming from another management development program, I noticed a major change in my growth once under the care of NX Direct. The training program could not be more systematic, NX Direct has provided me with an array of skill sets I was never given an opportunity to learn with previous employers. They do not "tie your hands" or "hold you back" so to speak, if you are willing to put in the effort to achieve your goals, the management team and staff will make sure you get there, and support you 100% of the way. Growing up playing competitive sports I really thrive in and appreciate the owner, Nelson's, direct coaching. I go to him on my own accord weekly to be coached professionally and even personally on occasion. I even refer to him as "the cool boss" at times because I have earned the privilege, by reaching my goals, to join him and other staff members at sporting events, movies, conferences and so on. I continue to be thankful for my opportunity here and appreciate waking up every day knowing my day to day is filled with a positive team environment, where everyone strives to be the best and we all have that "work hard, play hard" mentality!
I find this box to be almost as humorous as the negative reviews given about the company. NX Direct has a very extensive interview process, my positions grants me to oversee recruiting from all stages. When invited back for the second interview, all candidates are shown exactly what a day in the life of an account manager will look like. Compensation and opportunity for growth is explained thoroughly and each candidate is given a brochure with this explanation written on it to take home with them. During our infield skill assessment we are looking for two things, a skills-set fit and cultural fit. It would be counterproductive as a company if we hid the facts of the position from our candidates during this process. Furthermore, an observational period takes place so the candidate can see exactly what we do. When management does the final call, each candidate is asked if they felt the interviewer explained all aspects of the business to them thoroughly, and they are also given another opportunity to ask a manager any further questions as well as time to look over the offer.
Advice to Management
Keep up the open door policy! It is great to know that I am free to ask questions and receive coaching without being made to feel uncomfortable or stupid in doing so. My only advice to future candidates is to be more proactive to about doing research on company before coming in to interview and to not let other canadites opinions be the decision that prevents you from trying the interview experience yourself. Advice to current employees is to have confidence to approach management about issues and concerns instead of letting that dictate your future opportunities.

Enjoyed the interview process! Everyone that I met was very friendly, and the 2nd interview was very informative. It was exactly what I thought it was and I'm looking forward and I am excited to get started after graduation.
