I applied through other source. The process took 12+ monthsinterviewed at NY Insurance Fund in September 2013.

These positions are a direct result of taking Civil Service exams. I highly recommend that anyone and everyone looking for work or looking to change positions/careers consider taking these tests. I scored well on a few. Now, patience is required. I have gone on a few interviews but no offers yet! However, these positions are secure and provide excellent opportunities and benefits.

    Interview Questions
    • I was interviewed by six people - three from each dept - two depts. represented. After the shock of seeing six people facing me in the room, I learned a bit about each dept. Then they asked me which dept I would prefer to work in. It was a very unexpected & disturbing question! I need a job. I was afraid to say I chose one over the other. Suppose the one I did not prefer was considering hiring me? Would my honesty work against me? I avoided answering the question, I think.   View Answer

It is self-supporting and operates on the income from insurance premiums and investments. NYSIF also offers claims... More
