I have been working at NYC Outward Bound full-time (more than an year)

    -It's meaningful work
    -The staff are conscience people
-The work is always varied and different
-You get to work on keeping your body and mind in shape
-You're part of a transformational experience for students
-The work is always exciting and new
-You are always, learning, growing and changing
-There's free staff housing if you want
-Feedback sessions are very intentional and structured which encourages keeping a team dynamic open and healthy, as opposed to letting things fester and build up with teammates

    -The work can be draining
-There is a lot of work during the high season and not so much to do during the low season, so you have to leave or find another job in the mean-time
-In NYC Outward Bound courses can be pretty short so if you are looking to build more of a substantial and deep relationship with students that can be challenging with the fast turnaround of all the students you work with
-Staff housing is way to crowded

    Neutral Outlook
