    Pros

Get to pick your start time... 4 options. Best EVER holiday celebrations. They rented out the entire rock and roll hall of fame for us this year with awesome accommodations including free valet parking, free shuttle to and from, delicious food, and a great band. The annual "summer party" gets better every year with rides and games for kids, free drinks and food for employees and spouses, and always a sincere thank you from the CEO. Also employees get tons of discounts on important things like day care, dry cleaning, and auto repair. They even have on site pick up for dry cleaning so you don't have to spend your lunch break doing "home" work. Donna at the front desk personally buys candy and keeps the dish full for us. Every Friday we have a group breakfast where different team members contribute their best dishes. There is a financial reward once per month for employees who get unsolicited praise from their peers. They also have a financial award for "best photograph" to encourage extra curricular interests. The CEO has meetings with the whole company every month to transparently report important issues and successes. During these we get free food, juice, and coffee. He ALWAYS praises someone from his family that he loves and is proud of during these meetings. He actually personally writes birthday cards for everyone... all employees on each of their birthdays. I know that my boss cares about me, not just as an employee but as a person.

    Cons

They pay isn't in the top 10 percent, but that's probably because of all the things I mentioned above.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of us really like working here and are too busy doing forward looking things to think about posting a glass door testimonial. Please remind us to do so. This stuff matters and you deserve it.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at National Interstate.

    Interview Details

The process started with a phone interview to review my resume and qualifications. A few weeks later I was called to set up an interview. First interview you meet with HR. Then I had 3 individual meetings with different claims supervisors. They ask the typical questions. Nothing to difficult. After this I took some assessment tests. I was called 2 days later to set up a second interview. This time I met with HR briefly. I went to meet with someone else and they never showed. Different supervisors checked on me and apologized for the delay. My interviewers never showed. Staff eventually threw together a makeshift interview with a VP of claims. Nothing new. He just reviews my resume as they did in my first interview and phone interview. He said they'd have to reschedule when the interviewers were available. They never did and sent me a template email rejection.
