I have been working at National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (General Dynamics) full-time (More than a year)
Nice and friendly environment. Most staff and employees are friendly and very helpful. There is a cafeteria on site so you wouldn't have to leave the premises if you didn't want to.
Parking far away. This can be a major disadvantage. More handicapped parking spaces are needed for such a huge working environment.

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (General Dynamics) (Norfolk, VA) in September 2015.
I Applied with Nassco on 27 August. Received an unexpected call on 15 September just before noon, 19 days later. A representative from the Norfolk, VA office called me on the phone for a very short interview that only lasted 4 minutes and :08 seconds. They asked if I had Deltek Software experience because it is "Preferred." The representative, did not tell me anything about the job itself, however, looking at the description under the headings "unique" and "regular" requirements of the position, I was very qualified for them all and knew in advanced, I could do this job without any problem. The representative asked me if I have accomplished everything on the profile that I filled out on their website. Of course I have! She asked me to verify and state what types of tasks that I did for my past employer and more specifically the team that I supported and wanted to know (again) if what I placed in my profile was indeed what my skills are (?) and then she asked me if my experience doing all "Those things" was recent. Then she asked me about my skills with Excel. I told the Representative, I was very comfortable with excel that I worked in Excel to do a lot of my regular tasks, that I considered my self Advanced with the exception of Pivot Tables. Then suddenly, she was ready to let me go without warning. Within one minute of the call ending, I received an "No-thank" you email. .
