I worked at Naval Sea Systems Command as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

This is a great place to work if find the military technology fascinating. The 80-hr two week period allows for flexible work schedules, and you are able to come to work roughly any time between 6-9:30 AM.

    Cons

The downsides to NAVSEA are that they can't guarantee any positions following the intern program. Depending on the project you are assigned, you may be stuck with a topic that you don't find very interesting.

    Interview Details

Basically all I did was submit my resume via email. I was a freshman in college at the time. The company contacted me for a Summer Hire Position without any interviews, strangely enough. It probably helped that I knew a manager there, who was the father of a friend I had when I was in high school. Most people do not hear about this job unless they know someone working there.
