I worked at Neptune Orient full-time for more than 3 years

NOL's multi-million dollar system development project means it provides once in a life-time exposure and experience for all involved in the project.

Shipping industry is very cyclical and NOL group in particular experienced severe financial weakness in last few years. Until today, it is not a top-tier player in the market hence is still vulnerable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on revenue maximisation, not just cost-cutting.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months - interviewed at Neptune Orient in April 2012.

    Interview Details

My hiring process started with an internal referral. Followed by a phone interview with a human resource manager. I was subsequently invited to a face-to-face interview with the human resource manager and an additional manager from my department. They asked mostly fit questions but do come prepared with adequate knowledge of the business. Finally, I had an interview with the director of the department.
