    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Network Health Plan (Wisconsin) (Medford, MA) in December 2010.

    Interview

I interviewed for a Marketing Manager position that had been vacant for some time. My first 1:1 interview was with the hiring director, and went very well (I thought). I felt our personalities connected. The second 1:1 interview round was with the senior director and another department manager. While I felt I made a good connection with the Sr. Director, I did not come from the industry. There was a heightened sense of urgency to jump start the team and get various programs up and running. While I believe I could have more than perfomormed the job, I was not offered the position. This position has been vacant for about 9 months, and it is my opinion that they are being too rigid in their criteria. It seems to be centering around the management of a single employee and getting that person back on track. Strange, but if their "Mr./Ms. Right" comes around, it seems like a positive place to work.

    Interview Questions

    • knowing I had no background in the inustry, I was asked very specifically how I would approach certain scenarios.   Answer Question
    • Very much interested in my management style, how I handled conflict, if I had ever fired/managed someone out of the company.   Answer Question
