Learn for Life. We put a lot of emphasis on continuing education—it is a key tenet to performance, excellence, innovation and growth. So, come to work with us, learn with us and have fun with us.

Center for Learning & Development

Neustar believes in the continuous growth and development of our employees and that learning should be an experience, rather than an event. We offer an extensive catalog of custom-designed courses and programs that engage learners and reinforce critical information. Learning is provided in a variety of delivery formats including live classroom training with real-time practice and reinforcement, custom-built eLearning courses with multimedia components such as commercials, simulations and videos, as well as an extensive vendor library of over 300 course topics appropriate for a variety of audiences and needs.

Innovation Speaker Series

We offer our employees a free Innovation Speaker Series, which has been designed to inspire our employees to innovate and think in different ways. It helps us push ourselves in ways that we've never done before. These series provide a chance to get botheducated and inspired, and to stir your inner creativity by hearing how others are addressing big problems. Topics include innovative work by a diverse group of engineering and scientific experts.

Past speakers include:
Linda Bernardi, Author – Provoke: Why Global Culture of Disruption is the Only Hope for Innovation

Elizabeth Dowling Taylor, Author – A Slave in the White House: Paul Jennings and the Madisons

Mark Bowdon, Author – Worm: The First Digital World War

Joshua Foer, Author – Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything

Jack C. Chow, Author – Building a Customer-Centric Culture

Walter Isaacson, Author – After writing American Sketches, Walter Issacson wrote the Steve Jobs bio – Steve Jobs

Scott Anthony, Author – The Silver Lining

Vint Cerf – Referred to as "Father of the Internet"

Bill Eggers, Author – If We Can Put Man on the Moon…

Scott Belsky, Author – Making Ideas Happen

David Shenk, Author – The Genius in All of Us

Dan Pink, Author – Whole New Mind, Free Agent Nation, The Adventures of Johnny Bunko and Drive: The Surprising Truth that Motivates Us.
Forbes Magazine said, "Pink's ideas deserve a wide hearing. Corporate boards could do well by kicking out their pay consultants for an hour and read Pink's conclusions instead." We did one better; we invited him to come speak.

NeuDev and FedEx Days

NeuDev: NeuDev provides a way in which anyone with a great idea was is given the chance to build it and show it off. The only rules: it has to relate to our products, benefit our customers and needs to be developed in one day. The results are outstanding and Neustar has seen several products come out of NeuDev. Now that's innovation!

FedEx Days: One of Neustar's Innovation Speakers, Dan Pink, spoke about Atlassian, an Australian company who allow their developers to work on anything they want, any way they want and with whomever they want. Atlassian calls them "Fed Ex" days because the developers have to deliver something overnight. Neustar was so inspired about the sense of innovation that two departments took it upon themselves to institute their own "Fed Ex Days" here at Neustar. We are happy to report that again, we imagined, developed and shipped several products within 1 day.

An engaged culture that values innovative, customer-focused solutions, Neustar knows how to celebrate our successes and recognize the passions of our employees. Our offices are abuzz with bright, energetic minds working on the next big thing, all learning and creating together, and having some fun along the way.

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Neustar (Fairport, NY) in June 2015.

I met individually with the Team Lead, the manager, a developer on another team and a developer on the team for which I was applying. The team lead asked me a couple softball object oriented quiz questions and then some moderate "how would you accomplish x scenarios" and a couple provide some high-level design for these tasks. We then talked about my previous experience and the responsibilities of the position that I was applying to for a bit. The manager asked me questions about my previous experience in an agile environment and we discussed in what environments I work best and why. More questions along that vein. The developer on the other team asked me more detailed questions on my previous experience. The developer on the team to which I was applying asked me the occasional database question or question about my education among a large amount of casual conversation about various technologies used in this field. I was extremely impressed by the speed to which the interview process was started and completed and the speed at which I was given an offer.
