I have been working at New School full-time

The location is Greenwich Village, Manhattan, in New York City. Fellow faculty included many leaders in their communities of practice in design, as well as academics.

The central administration is overbearing and the bureaucracy is tangled. It is difficult to work with some of the deans. The system of rotating program directors frequently without offering such professors additional compensation results in incompetent management and lack of institutional memory.

    Advice to Management

Please consider changing the policy for appointing directs at Parsons. Offer cash incentives so those truly interested in leadership and qualified will apply to become directors of the programs.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at New School.

Interview started late due to no one scheduling a room/office to meet. Interview lasted ten minutes and one team member abruptly walked out during the interview. Half of group did not ask questions. Director did most of the talking and questioning.

Provided my salary range. Received a counter offer and accepted.
