I worked at New York Magazine (Less than a year)

The crew that worked the shoot was extremely organized and professional. Our contact at the magazine was also well connected so that when we needed help procuring items for the shoot the name of the magazine as well as the professionalism of the staff removed any barriers.

The only con I can think of is the amount of bureacratic red tape that is required for all of the different departments to interact.

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at New York Magazine.

I initially applied online and didn't hear back for over a month. Unexpectedly, I got an email to come in a week later. No trick questions, just the normal ones you would expect. I truly hate when they ask you things like 'Whats your worst quality?', etc. but there was none of that. I would say overall their hiring process is slow. For me it took over 3 months.
