    Pros

For those who like local news and the push-pull of deadlines, it is a great place. Colleagues are wonderful. Management is management.

    Cons

Salaries are flat. Health care insurance is very costly and eats into salary, even for those with no health issues. Managers are skilled at their jobs, but not in management.

    Advice to Management

Consider reviewing groups rather than individuals. Set goals for the group. Keeps the nitpick and point shaving by upper managers out of the equation.

    Interview Questions

    • The biggest thing was actually writing for the next days' papers during my tryout.   1 Answer
