I worked at Nokian Tyres full-time (more than 3 years)

People are very committed and passionate about the success of the company. Product is truly the best in the world. Benefits package is fantastic.

Company tends to be Euro centric in its thinking. Hyper focus on profitability makes getting investment and marketing money challenging. Heavy reliance on Russian market is a liability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Now with loss of significant upside of stock options, salaries may need to be adjusted.

Nokian has also developed the RoadSnoop, a device that monitors tire air pressure and temperatures and transmits the information to the driver. Its Vianor unit operates over 500 retail tire outlets in 15 countries.
