“We support many community organizations through contributions, outreach programs, special events and volunteerism.”

As a company, Nordstrom has had the privilege of being welcomed into communities across the country. We’ve learned a lot from the people we’ve met through the years – and we have been inspired by them. We know our financial support and involvement can make a difference, which is why we support many community organizations through contributions, outreach programs, special events and volunteerism.

Each year, Nordstrom donates millions of dollars to organizations working to improve their communities. Our areas of focus are health and human services, community development, education and cultural enhancement.

For more than 50 years, Nordstrom and our employees have supported the annual fund drive for United Way organizations around the country through campaigns organized regionally. With over 70 percent of all employees contributing to the United Way campaign, Nordstrom has one of the highest participation rates for a company our size.

Our employees are involved in hundreds of organizations in their own communities. Nordstrom encourages employees to volunteer for local activities such as food and blood drives, holiday adoption programs and fundraising walks and runs. We think it’s great when our coworkers choose to make the most of their time by helping others.

I worked at Nordstrom Rack part-time (more than a year)

Good pay for the job people hold. I started at 10.95 as a cashier and within a year and a half moved to $12.40 per hour.

Good benefits as far as 401K, there is the option to do insurance but you have to work over a certain amount of hours continuously.

Management cared and were excellent. When lines were intense the management teams were up in the registers doing everything they could to make our lives better.

Not enough staff to really give the store more potential. With the Customer Service Rep position and many positions in the store you seriously feel like you need another employee to be pulling half the weight. However that is many places and by far this place did the best of the places I have worked.

I found it hard to get promoted to management, however you have to work hard for what you want. However there are opportunities to grow, in different roles you can play to be a key player in the stores growth.

Selling credit and debit cards is tough and it's a part of your annual performance to sell them per shift.
