I have been working at Northwestern Medicine full-time

Northwestern Medicine supports its employees well. Their compensation and benefits are competitive and there is a strong focus on caring for the patients.

It is becoming a larger and larger organization, which can make communication and consistency difficult.

    Advice to Management

Continue to support your employees and maintain a patient-centered model of care.

    RN In Patient: Psych Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience

I had 2 initial phone interviews, first with a talent recruiter then with HR. Next, we scheduled an interview, with unit manager. All of which were separated by 2 week intervals. The in person interview was late due to miscommunication, between unit manager, permanent safety officier and covering safety officier. So, my initial start time of 1330 got pushed to 1350. I did ask safety about the situation 2x. No assistance. Finally, manager comes out. We clarify the situation, and I meet with other staff. Then I met with manager. Overall the interviews are easy. Was offered a day to shadow but because I decided on another path.

    Interview Questions

    • Situation you went above and beyond for a patient.   Answer Question
    • Time when you and a boss, patient, or colleague got into an argument and how you handled it.   Answer Question
    • Prior to shadowing I had a time conflict with a position I had accepted. I informed manager and HR. They never replied, rude. But, it felt as though they were just waiting to finish the process to offer me a position.   Answer Question
