    I have been working at Nurun full-time for less than a year


    Work life balance can be achieved here, if it's important to you. Nurun SF is full of talented, unique and inspiring individuals who work hard and play hard. The pay and benefits are comparable to other boutique agencies in SF.


    A growing team from a small core group has certainly caused a few pains as senior employees get used to a larger group of coworkers and stricter standards that come with being acquired by a multi-national company. Little to no training, they throw you right in the ring. It's pretty sink or swim.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue to offer opportunities for on the job education (many employees do not know of the $600 stipend for education/training each year) and foster an environment of growth and acceptance between senior and jr. employees.

    I applied through other source. The process took 5 days - interviewed at Nurun in August 2011.

    Interview Details

    I got an interview because I was recommended by a friend who was working for the company. They were looking for a good backend and/or Android developer and weren't picky about specific requirements.

    I met with HR as a standard personality screening interview, and then with the team lead for the technical interview on a separate day. An architect was also supposed to show up for the second interview, but didn't, which just made the interview easier.

    We chatted about my experience, some general technical questions, all very casual and comfortable. The interview was not difficult or stressful, partly because the job requirements were flexible.

    • No specific question stands out - there were mostly generic technical questions to make sure that I actually knew about the experience and technology that appeared on my resume.   Answer Question

    There was no negotiation. After a probationary period, I received a salary adjustment that was appropriate for my skills and experience.
