Current Employee - Director of Procurement, Logistics & Facilities

I have been working at Nuspire Networks full-time (more than 3 years)

Culture – The culture at Nuspire is diverse, there is a high expectation to perform, and there is the opportunity to contribute to systems improvements. It is rare in a company that every employee is given the opportunity to submit a system improvement request that, when implemented, can improve the efficiency of the company overall. Not only are these ideas welcomed at Nuspire, they are encouraged on a regular basis. The technology is home grown, so each employee can submit an idea that will improve and influence the overall outcome of the finished product. There is also a laid back aspect to working for Nuspire. As long as you are wearing a shirt with a Nuspire logo, you have the option to wear jeans or shorts every day of the work week. This is a very nice perk to have available in an office environment.

Company Events & Recognition – Nuspire management firmly believes in recognition of employee performance and on a monthly basis awards and prizes are given to the employees that have made difference, or have performed exceptionally, in that month. In addition, Nuspire holds company sponsored events to show appreciation to its employees and encourage team building. The events range from the annual Nuspire Olympics, a scavenger hunt, or a simple pot luck luncheon. The highlight of the year is the annual trip in the summer to Mackinaw Island where the company pays for the lodging and ferry fare to/from the island. While this is a voluntary event, it is the company’s way of encouraging team building and showing its appreciation for the hard work accomplished the year prior.

The Work - The work at Nuspire is challenging and should be viewed as a positive thing. The company is ever changing and in a growth mode, so you will be expected to wear multiple hats at times. Also, depending upon the position, you may be required to work different shifts and/or weekends. Nuspire is a 24x7 / 365 global operation which requires certain demands from the employees and managers. This presents itself with unique opportunities to learn aspects of how global business works and what it takes to support customers in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

Wages – Compensation is in-line with industry standards and may be adjusted based on performance. Meaning, if you excel at your position, work hard, and grow with the company, your pay will be reviewed and may be adjusted accordingly. This methodology is fair and is no different than any other company I have worked for in my career.

Employees – There are some really great people that work at this company who care about their team, the success of the company, and take pride in their work. It is a shame that a few internet trolls are posting such negative comments about the company and its employees and I ask you to give credence to these rants. The majority of the employees who work here are hardworking, dedicated individuals that have diverse backgrounds and life experiences. It is this diversity at its core that makes Nuspire such an interesting place to work for.

Growth – Nuspire is definitely in a growth mode, so there is a lot of work to accomplish and the expectation level is high. Unfortunately, some are not cut out for this type of environment and do not last.
