I worked at OMERS full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Being able to work for all of the men and women who run and maintain our municipalities, police/fire, and schoolboards gives you a great feeling.

    Cons

Captive client base can hinder or blind the organization to the best way to serve the clients. Change management seems to remain a challenge after several years of trying to move the organization forward.
