I'm continually amazed by our ability to find smart, creative, engaging people who are committed to making, marketing, selling and servicing the best product in our industry.
- Steve Nye,
Customer Service & Support VP
There are plenty of opportunities to work on different aspects of a great product—as well as all of the services around it.
- Mia Zhou,
The OSIsoft team is amazing! Our customers are the best, and there's always a challenge to solve. The company's philosophy is to let you be and decide your future.
- Mariana Sandin,
Before joining OSIsoft, I played a small game in life—since then I've talked with industry movers, taught classes around the country, and even started a podcast show. OSIsoft gets my stamp of approval.
- Stuart Collins,
I love the diversity of activities I get to do in vCampus. I research new technologies, work on ideas and interact with customers. I also have a great time with Healthy Snack Thursdays, where our team brings healthy food and discussion to the office.
- Ahmad Fattahi, PhD,
vCampus Support Team Leader
I love my job because it enables me to meet professional contacts all around the world and use those contacts to host fun, successful corporate events.
- D.J. Lee,
As a university recruiter, I get one question more than any other: What's the growth potential like at OSIsoft? I have to laugh each time. I think about my career path—which, at any other company in the world, wouldn't be possible.
I'm an engineer who came to OSIsoft out of school. While doing my job, I asked a simple question about internal training and ended up managing the worldwide internal training program. I am now the manager of the University Recruiting Program working in Human Resources.
The next thing they say is, "you must have been with OSIsoft for many years to have done all that." I'm not sure they believe me when I say it's only been four years.
- Jarita Sirois,
Talent Management Group Leader
I have worked at OSIsoft for 19 years. I enjoy working with a brilliant, passionate and fun group of people who care about our products and customers.
- Julie Zeilenga,
Software Engineering Group Leader
At OSIsoft we thrive on the strength of our workforce. We work on challenging projects in an environment that encourages teamwork, creativity and innovation.
- Barry James,
Technical Support Engineering
The melting pot of cultures and backgrounds here is always exciting. It's great to work with all of these different personalities.
- Mike Dupuis,
Marketing Communications Manager
OSIsoft is a very choose-your-own-destiny type of company. If you have a good idea or are interested in something other than your current role, you can always create your own career path.
- Steve Pilon,

I have been working at OSIsoft full-time (Less than a year)RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEORecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
As a CSE we solve problems for customers, making the work very manageable and fun in a challenging/problem solving way. The company atmosphere is a good mix of hard working and professional with relaxed and casual. Good work-life balance.
This place has exceeded my expectations because there are way more opportunities than I initially realized. There are offices all over the world (albeit not huge ones), and there is the opportunity to do and exchange with another office (e.g. spend a month working in Frankfurt, Germany).
Also, effective July 2014, OSIsoft now offers 401k matching of up to $3,000, which is a new development.
The company is also growing rapidly. It has gone from 1,100 to 1,300 employees in just one year and has had sales over $350 million. The office headquarters were just renovated and a new building is about to be constructed just south of the main one (to be completed by 2017) which will create an OSIsoft campus.
Commuting is also very easy. It's right next to a BART station, and if you live in SF, the drive is not bad because it's a reverse commute so you don't have to deal with bridge traffic. I drive from the Marina and it's only 45 minutes, which is good for the bay area. It's an easy drive from anywhere in East Bay.
The product is not particularly sexy or exciting (the PI System is a plant information system that collects, stores, archives, analyzes, and displays time-series data) like the products of other bay area tech companies, however it plays a vital role behind the scenes in a whole host of industries, including pharmaceutical, mining, manufacturing, power, oil & gas, and chemicals.
Advice to Management
Make sure to keep up with the times and update products and services accordingly. Things are moving fast in tech but we seem to be keeping up.

Getting an Interview

It was a pleasant phone screen with someone who worked in the same role I was applying for. It lasted an hour and consisted of about 15 to 20 questions. Some were focused around troubleshooting and others were behavioral. They got back to me within one business day to invite me for an onsite interview that I have not had yet.
