I worked at Oasis Systems full-time

Work-life balance is excellent, great co-workers and interesting work. Good benefits, decent salary. Corporate makes an effort to keep the workforce informed via newsletter and occasional emails.

Uncertainty of follow-on Government contracts. Unclear path for advancement or career progression. Management has the willingness to give employees feedback, they don't have the time.

    Advice to Management

You have a large workforce at the Hanscom AFB client location. They understand the uncertainty of follow-on contracts and yet their anxiety is being met with comments such as "be lucky you have a job right now". There is no sense of loyalty to the company right now, it's every person for themselves. Encourage small groups of employees in different sections of the customer location to get together once a month or once a quarter, have lunch or coffee, get to know each other and forge some solid relationships. Make it a billable hour, set a max limit per employee, something to get people out of their cubicles and get to know other employees and you'll have an even more effective workforce since people are more likely to reach out to those they have a personal relationship with to get the job done.

I applied through other source. The process took a week. I interviewed at Oasis Systems in December 2013.

I contacted the HR person through LinkedIn asking about openings posted on several websites. They brought me in for an interview and it last about 90 minutes. After covering an overview of the company and the job opportunities I was being considered for, they asked me to walk through my resume and I focused on the relevant experiences. Significant changes are coming through follow-on contracts and they addressed my concerns and answered my questions as best they could.

    Interview Questions

    • There were no difficult or unexpected questions. I'm very familiar with the projects and programs they support.   Answer Question
