I worked at Olympus Corporation of the Americas full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Quality products and people overall. Committed, hard working culture. Working closely and well with healthcare providers is a priority. Field based positions more desirable (more freedom and better compensation) than corporate. Rewards performance in sales. Respected in field.

    Cons

Heavy bureaucracy and slow to change/innovate. Heavily governed by the legal departments and conservative in decision making. VERY process driven. Strong Japanese culture. Appearances and saving face very important in the corporate environment. Everyone is expected to work well over a 40 hour minimum per week.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Olympus Corporation of the Americas in December 2014.

    Interview Details

Interview was over 4 hours long. Never received a call back or feedback. Was told the position was put on hold. This was back in December of 2014. Why interview candidates if you knew the position couldn't be filled right away?
