    I worked at On The Border


    Very laid back managers. The kitchen staff were all quite nice. Flexible scheduling. Fun competitions for meeting desired results- alcohol sales, PPC, etc. Quick paced. Understanding managers when attendance is questionable. 50% off food. Food is great. Always clean and up to code.

    Wait staff mostly friendly.


    The maturity level of the staff is quite low. Turn over rate is high. Management, while great as people, worked inefficiently with staff because of closer relationships. Teamwork is terrible.

    No meetings or standard performance reviews regularly. Performance reviews are practically unheard of. Some may find this appeasing but problems arise that should be dealt with and are repeatedly brushed under the rug.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hold staff accountable for their duties and address issues immediately. Hire a more diverse wait staff.

    It was a pretty basic interview, asked if I had serving experience, told me what they wanted in an employee and what the client base consisted of then basically said I was hired and that was it.
