I worked at Opera Software full-time (More than 3 years)
Truly international in scope and reach, with a mostly HR-centric culture that values employees and delivers management training and feedback well. Nice offices, especially in Norway, and a collaborative and open culture with very little finger-pointing. Lots to do, and many resources with which to do it.
Sometimes a little too European and slow-moving, particularly with regard to setting a direction and sticking to it and/or not shedding unpromising programs or projects quickly enough.
Advice to Management
Work even harder at integrating Opera Software and Opera Mediaworks, which is admittedly not easy. Keep the people-centric, encouraging and respectful tone that you've been generally setting for years (from the CEO on down), and which was highly valued by me and my peers.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Opera Software (San Mateo, CA) in July 2014.
1) Phone interview with HR 2) On-site interview with two managers (approximately 20 minutes each) All in all, not a bad experience. The managers were nice and easy to talk to.
