I have been working at OppenheimerFunds full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people, great culture. Amazing work-life balance, especially for a financial services firm. No sharp elbows. Great location when they finish the construction. Privately held so it can afford to take the long-term view. There is positive energy and momentum in the place right now.

    Cons

While the firm is a global investor and has many different global funds, it does not have any locations outside the United States. This great for avoiding all of the early morning and late night conference calls, but it is not great if you want to work overseas at some point in your career.

    Application Details

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at OppenheimerFunds.

    Interview Details

Submitted resume, call back from HR screener (very impersonal and cold and rude), in person interview with some managers/supervisors that was pleasnt - mostly resume background, behavioral and fit, then a drug test, typing test and another unpleasant visit from HR screener

    Interview Questions
    Negotiation Details
HR screener claimed offer was non negotiable and was once again not pleasant. Very low offer but I wanted to get back in the industry.
