I have been working at Oprah Winfrey Network full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits were fantastic and the people were great to work with. This is all dependent on the department you are in. My department the VP worked everyone very hard but he was protective of his team and so there were no layoffs as a result. A very agency style department. Pay scale was above average in the industry.

    Cons

No promoting within. Entertainment is a tough industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promoting within would make the guarantee less turnover. Even if its a tittle change, its something. Overall great management though.

I applied through email and was asked to come into the New York City office for a 1:1 interview. The hiring professional didn't ask too many difficult questions. We went over my resume and she asked about previous experiences. She gave me an overview of the job position and what the job entailed. I didn't get asked too many difficult or unexpected questions. I felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. The hiring professional asked me to complete an assignment to move onto the second round of interviews. After completing it, I got asked to come back again. I emailed the hiring professional to see if there were any updates because she said she would notify me by the end or beginning of the week. I didn't get any response nor did they return my phone call.
