    I worked at OraSure

    Pros

    The company posted job opportunities inside the building to give present employees the opportunity to apply for available positions. Work life balance was manageable given that you work 4 days a week.

    Cons

    It was temporary gig I did. Sitting for hours at a time was not conducive. The managers were very friendly and competent at their work. This job had two shifts. First shift lasted from 5 30 am to 4. Second shift lasted till about mid morning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay closer attention. I loved the culture of having a picnic for your employees in the summer and giving more people the chance to meet upper level management and talk with them casually over lunch. I would have loved to see the plant manager come in and be introduced to each of us, and try to address each employee by name.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took a dayinterviewed at OraSure in September 2010.

    Interview Details

    Met directly with Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Was very professional and courteous. Asked standard interview questions keying specifically on relevant experience as it related to the job description. Also asked several behavioral interview questions such as tell me a time when you had to handle a difficult situation, tell me a time you had to work with a diffucult person and what did you do, etc. Was very up front that there were several internal candiates interested as well.
