    I worked at OraSure

    Pros

    Benefits were great. I got four weeks off to start and one hundred percent match on my 401k up to ten percent of my base pay. Very flexible in taking time off when needed for family, doctors appt.'s, etc... and making the time up when convenient for you. No problems with tuition reimbursement for courses or training.

    Cons

    Upper management seemed to be running at a large company level. They didn't have a very good grasp on what was happening on the floor. IT was pre-historic, hard copies and files were strewn everywhere. Pay was below industry average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more involved with your products and employees.

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took a dayinterviewed at OraSure in September 2010.

    Interview Details

    Met directly with Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Was very professional and courteous. Asked standard interview questions keying specifically on relevant experience as it related to the job description. Also asked several behavioral interview questions such as tell me a time when you had to handle a difficult situation, tell me a time you had to work with a diffucult person and what did you do, etc. Was very up front that there were several internal candiates interested as well.
