    Pros

The one and only reason is LIFE WITHOUT LIMITATIONS. People loose or have no limbs and we put them back together.

    Cons

The mid management is what is driving the company morale down and the reason great employees are no longer there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the horrible middle management and so called directors and the company once again be a great place to work.
People used to love this place and no one can say that anymore.

    IT Management Interview

Anonymous Employee  in  Foothill Ranch, CA
Anonymous Employee in Foothill Ranch, CA
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1+ week - interviewed at Ossur in March 2013.

    Interview Details

My resume was submitted in the evening and I received a call from the recruiter the very next day. Our initial call went well and he submitted my resume and salary requirements to management who reside in Europe. An interview was scheduled for the following week. I interviewed in person at the Foothill Ranch office. I met first with the recruiter and then with a visting manager from Iceland who used video conference technology to connect me to the manager in Sweden. During that time I found out that the job was not quite what I had expected from the posting and initial conversation; however, the interview proceeded anyway. The office was nice, casual and friendly. I found out they had Zumba classes and Yoga classes in the evening after work. It seemed like a nice place to work though smaller than my previous company in size and job responsibility. Knowing that they probably would not be able to match my salary request and that I'd have issues with a large portion of the job, I did not think that it would be a fit. They later called me and said they'd like to give me the option to shadow someone to see what I thought, but I declined.

    Interview Questions
    • none - I was prepared for all questions that were asked of me other than some of the hands-on technical questions that I didn't realize was part of the job.   Answer Question
    Reasons for Declining

I felt I would not be able to be successful quickly in the role (due to the part of the job that I had no experience in) and the salary. The recruiter was amazingly generous to let me know they'd leave the position open for me to reconsider as long as they could. Having read the feedback from others on this website, I think that if you understand where the power lies and can handle/manage that - you'd get by OK as long as you do your job and do it well. It seems like a very friendly place to work.
