One can use his/her skills and expertise here. Management are very supportive and flexible. The team members are very cooperative. It is a rewarding experience working at PCI.
There was some down time, just like every other company.
Advice to Management
Chemists and engineers may need more chance to share chemistry/technique: like having an internal monthly seminar/talk for them to share chemistry/technique. May be helpful to have outside experts to give seminar as well.

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at PCI Synthesis (Newburyport, MA) in December 2011.
They focused a lot on my previous salary’s and how someone shouldn’t expect more than what they were making at a previous position. The change in responsibilities, expectations and benefits did not seem to matter to them just the salary. They also spent a lot of time focused on your willingness to go above and beyond for the company. Be prepared to have examples of doing so because they will ask. At the same time they spent time telling you how they will do the minimum for you, but doing it in code. Example, willingness to work as an outside contractor so they can avoid employment associated expenses, willingness to work after hours with no expectation of compensation, willingness to take on responsibilities without the authority, willingness to perform the work of a manager for the pay of a supervisor.
They absolutely will not negotiate. My best advice is to not give your salary history because they will make you regret it. It will costs you your offer, weight your options and ask yourself if you want to go to work knowing you could be earning much more if you stuck it out for an employer that is willing to consider your education, experience and personality instead of your previous salary when considering your new compensation for your new position with your new expectations.
