    Human Resources Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at PHH Mortgage in February 2015.

    Interview Details

I had 4 phone interviews and met with 2 people in person. Everyone seemed nice and eager to have me on board. I was told the role was one thing but in the last interview I was told I would be focusing on another area which was disappointing. But I figured I would see what would happen. After going through the entire process and they knowingly knew what my salary expectations were since I indicated it on my application, they offered me my current salary. Their salary is not competitive. The recruiter checked to see if there was room for negotiation and there was not. I declined the role.

    Reasons for Declining

I declined the role because it would be a pay cut with having to pay tolls going to NJ which I currently do not and their benefits are no where as great compared to where I am at now. It would have been a financial loss paying tolls, less PTO days, more money in health insurance, and receive less tuition reimbursement then where I am now. It was also a waste of my time going through the entire process down to reference checks for them to offer me no more than what I am making and I made it clear what I was expecting upfront.
