PSCU – Why Work For Us?

PSCU is a bold and innovative leader in the financial services industry with a proud 35-year history of serving credit unions all across the U.S.  We are known as a Credit Union Service Organization, or CUSO.  PSCU is structured as a cooperative business, which means we are collectively owned by nearly 700 credit unions, which we call Member-Owners.  We employ over 1600 people across four locations in Florida, Arizona and Michigan.  In April 2012, we were voted one of the Top 75 Places to Work in the Tampa Bay area.

Credit unions that belong to our cooperative enjoy affordable access to the highest quality financial services, like debit, credit and prepaid card programs and Internet banking services, to name just a few.

The PSCU brand is well known in the credit union industry and synonymous with superior service.  We are the leading CUSO in the nation and offer virtually every product or service that a credit union needs to succeed and grow.  PSCU ensures the health and welfare of its Member-Owner credit unions by combining a service-first philosophy with a tireless commitment to innovation.

PSCU provides and supports many of the types of products and services that credit unions need to operate their business as a financial institution.

  • Credit, debit/ATM and prepaid card programs
  • Internet-based programs such as Internet banking, mobile banking and bill payment
  • Risk and fraud management
  • Strategic consulting services
  • 24/7/365 call center support

In the course of serving its credit unions, PSCU employees collectively execute the responsibilities of literally hundreds of jobs – from programmers, business analysts and product developers, to graphics designers, call center representatives and project managers.  PSCU offers boundless career possibilities across dozens of professional disciplines.

Everything we do, we do for the benefit and prosperity of our credit unions and their members.  PSCU employees understand that for PSCU to succeed, we must guarantee the success of the credit unions that collectively own us.

The promise of the PSCU brand is simple and straightforward:

We promise to be a bold innovative payments leader that empowers our credit unions to compete and prosper.

We are a team that pulls together for our credit unions . . . and for each other.  When it came time to define our company values, all employees had a voice and a vote in choosing what we stand for and believe in.  These are our roots:

  • Innovation– The relentless pursuit of better ways
  • Trust– Character and competence
  • Excellence– Exceeding expectations in every interaction
  • Passion – Boundless enthusiasm to be THE best
  • Leadership– Keeping the promises you make to others, and to yourself

Our company has a rich tradition of service excellence and the reputation as THE leading CUSO in the nation.  We are proud advocates for credit unions everywhere.  We take our leadership role seriously and passionately believe in the power of collaboration and innovation as the greatest enablers for the continuing success of our credit unions.

Many folks take jobs with employers who claim to provide a work environment that revolves around the employee and his or her future only to discover that expectations fall well short of reality.  The PSCU workplace is uniquely employee-centric and well-appointed for success.  We invest heavily in employee training and professional career development.

Many employee engagement activities to create a positive culture, daily company provided fresh fruit and coffee and additional low cost on site offerings.

High turnover call center mainly because the pay rate isn't the best or competitive; although you can hit bonuses and make OT while working long hours, many find the shifts and pay not feasible and just need to move on to jobs that offer more money and accommodating shifts.

    Advice to Management

Work on having more empathy for workers life challenges that come up; especially with the shift demands and low pay employees.
