I have been working at PacifiCorp (More than a year)

    Pros

I can only speak for IT & security groups, but the company is full of great people and I feel like I am contributing to something useful.

    Cons

Going from contractor to FTE takes years, and you never know when it will happen until it happens. This impacts a lot of things, like securing a mortgage, for example.

    Advice to Management

Better contractor-to-hire process would be ideal. I also feel the ability to enforce IT policies across the company is weak.

First I had a 30 minute phone interview. I spoke with the general counsel and another attorney. At the second round I had four 45 minute interviews. I met with the general counsel and four other attorneys. One of the interviews was by video conference with the Reno office.
